Whether you would like to enjoy the incredible scenery of the Windsor Great Park or improve your riding skills with a lesson at our well equipped yard, we can provide the right service for you.

 

At Wayside, we have the horses, ponies, instructors and facilities to suit the needs of every rider, from absolute beginners to competition riders.

 

We have two schools indoor/outdoor. Lessons take place on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. 

Wayside instructors match horse and rider, to continually assess and develop the rider so that they reach their true potential.

Wayside holds courses for children and adults with little or no experience. Sessions are taken by qualified instructors and horses are carefully chosen to match the pupils needs. Group or Private Lessons available.

IMPORTANT CLOTHING REQUIREMENTS:

1. Long trousers that meet the ankle (no cropped trousers or shorts)

2. Shoe.boots/wellington boots something with a low heel.  No Trainers/Sandals or heels over 1.5 inches

3. No loose/flapping clothing

If you are not properly dressed with long trousers and appropriate footwear for riding, then you will not be permitted to ride, for your own safety

New customers to Wayside Stables who are joining us for a Windsor Great park ride, you will need to meet here at the stables to complete a "Rider Registration" form. If you meet here at the stables, you will need to ensure you have transport up to the Windsor Great Park.  This includes those who take a taxi from Maidenhead Train Station/or local hotels. Due to COVID-19 we can no longer transport customers to the Park.  Customers are fully responsible for any transport and Great Windsor Park parking costs.

 

Those hiring hats will also need to meet at Wayside Stables so hats can be correctly fitted.  People who have their own hats need to check and confirm their hat meets the accredited standard of PAS015 2011.

We operate a 48 hour cancellation policy.  If 48 hours notice is provided and a refund is requested, a cancellation admin fee of 5% will be charged due to fees incurred. All cancellations must be made by phone on 01628 777735 as the email is not monitored 24/7

Please do not bring your dogs to the stables, as there are dogs on site and they don’t like other dogs visiting
